Premium Economy from SWISS
SWISS International Air Lines’ brand new premium economy cabin class on its Airbus A340-300 fleet has come to Johannesburg. On 24 January, the first flight featuring the new cabin class took off from Zurich, Switzerland for Johannesburg.
According to Simple Flying, all four SWISS Airbus A340-300s will come fitted with the new cabin class by April this year, as well as be bookable for the destinations served with this fleet.
Currently, the carrier operates the A340-300 on 26 weekly flights from Zurich to Hong Kong, Johannesburg and Chicago.
Tamur Goudarzi Pour, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer, said that the positive feedback received from passengers who have experienced Premium-Economy class on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet has only strengthened the airline’s resolve to offer the product on more of its routes.
“Our new Premium-Economy class has rapidly established itself as a hugely popular way of travel,” Pour said.
