SA Tourism has struck a deal with an airline, offering an exclusive airfare campaign in order to bring in more Indian tourists to South Africa.
Air Seychelles and SA Tourism partner up
South African Tourism recently announced the launch of a new India airfare campaign in partnership with the airline, Air Seychelles. With the limited-time-only campaign, travellers from India will have the opportunity to purchase return tickets from Mumbai to Johannesburg on Air Seychelles for only R8 000 (€473).
According to Tourism Update, the campaign aims to highlight the value-friendly offerings from South Africa, allowing travellers to spend more on our wonderful offerings and experiences by saving on air fares. The exclusive campaign is an extension of the More & More campaign launched by the tourism board earlier this year, which aims to drive consumers to make their travel bookings with direct calls to action.
SA Tourism recently outlined a strategic roadmap to acheive a 64% year-on-year increase in Indian tourist in 2022. From January to April, this year, approximately 11 274 Indian visitors travelled to South Africa, which shows great positivity that the country is well on its way to surpass these targets.
SA Tourism Hub Head for the Middle East, India and South East Asia, Neliswa Nkani, said that they were excited to launch this deal-driven campaign in India and they were confident that consumers and corporates would see immense value in these deals, as they continue to curate their South African adventures.
“This ticket price of INR 38 148 (€473) establishes South Africa as an affordable long-haul destination for Indian travellers.” Nkani said.
According to SA Tourism, India is now the sixth largest international source market for South Africa and is one of the top three focus markets for South African Tourism globally. The campaign will run for one month only, from 25 July 2022 and 25 August 2022. Travel to South Africa with the campaign tickets will be valid until 31 January 2023.
