Qverse for the FIFA World Cup
A fun, new virtual reality (VR) update from Qatar Airways, on their ‘Qverse’ platform now allows users to navigate Business Class, look around a football stadium from their seat, as well as play an Inflight Delight Game.
The Inflight Delight Game, in particular, will also give users a chance to win a FIFA World Cup travel package, including match tickets, return flights and accommodation, reports travel news. Users can check out this immersive update by visiting www.qatarairways.com/FWC2022.
Qatar Airways explores the metaverse with MetaHuman hostess
The Qverse was officially launched back in April 2022, and featured a virtual experience for premium customers, with users able to virtually tour and navigate the Premium Check-in area at Hamad International Airport with the help of a MetaHuman hostess.
The MetaHuman cabin crew member is a digitally created 3D human model named ‘Sama’ offers the interactive customer experience through narrated engagement with each user, taking them on a virtual journey of discovery, while presenting the unique features in both the business and economy class cabins.
The experience was created using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, the world’s most advanced real-time 3D creation tool, and MetaHuman Creator, a cloud-based app for creating high-fidelity digital humans.
Qatar Airways seems to be paving the way, as they are the first global airline to introduce a MetaHuman cabin crew member. The new service offers a one-of-a-kind digital interactive customer experience.
