Definitely one for the bucket list: Kruger National Park now has South Africa’s first commercial 360-degree cinema, and it’s not to be missed.
The new immersive cinema will show movies during the operational hours of the Kruger Station at the Skukuza Rest Camp. Movies that will be showcased will focus on nature and conservation stories.
The cinema is built within a cylindrical structure with a wrap-around screen inside that gives viewers an immersive, 360 degree viewing experience with chairs that swivel whichever way they are facing.
Judiet Barnes, Executive Manager of Brand, Sales and Marketing for the station said:
“We wanted to ensure that guests are able to experience something truly unique when visiting Kruger Station. The entire Kruger Station is already something special, and now, with the addition of the KRUGER 360 Cinema, it’s become a must-see attraction within the park.”

There will also be an immersion of the skies in a Space Safari, a virtual experience conducted by astronaut Helen Sharman.
The shows run every hour from 9:00, with the last show starting at 19:00. Tickets can be bought at the Grab and Go retail counter.
