A recent research report has revealed the Top 10 best airlines for pet-friendly travel, in terms of cost and range of pets allowed on board.

Researchers at airportparkingreservations.com recently revealed the 10 best airlines for pet-friendly travel, which take into account the cost and diversity of pets allowed to travel in the plane cabin with the owner.
According to Travel News, the report, which was released on 18 October 2022, found that the top three spots were taken by Turkish Airlines in first position, All Nippon Airways in second and US carrier, Spirit in third place.

Turkish Airlines ranked the most pet-friendly as it flies cats, dogs, ferrets and small singing birds at the lowest cost of all major airlines, ranging from around R145-R436.
All Nippon Airways came in second for being most pet-friendly as it only allows one pet to travel in the cabin per passenger. The airline does, however, carry mammals and birds in cargo, accepting as many as nine different species. Prices do vary according to size and weight.Â
Spirit came in third place with a flat rate of R2Â 270 to travel with a pet, allowing dogs, cats, birds and rabbits, limited to two per passenger.
