Google recently released information about some of the most clicked-on destinations on Street View in South Africa. Here’s what they found…
Google Street View’s most clicked-on SA spots
To celebrate Google Street View’s 15th anniversary, Google Maps has released data which shows the most clicked on beaches, museums and general points of interest around our beautiful country over the past 12 months.
According to the data, Cape Town’s Boulders Beach, with its adorable penguin residents, was the most clicked-on beach in South Africa over the past year.
In the most-clicked on museum category, the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg took first prize, while the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum in colourful Bo-Kaap and Nelson Mandela’s house in Soweto came in second and third, respectively.
Landmarks, nature reserves and national parks took up the top-three most clicked-on places of interest in the country, reports Tourism Update, with the Cape of Good Hope earning the most clicks on Street View.
