Now this guy knows how to party! One man racked up a massive bill of over R200 000 at a Cape Town bar recently, leaving behind a HUGE tip for the waiter…
A waiter got a tip of almost R20 000 when a man recently racked up a whopping bill of more than R200 000 at a Cape Town hangout spot.
THE TIP WAS GIVEN ON SPRING DAY WHEN A MAN SPENT MORE THAN R200 000
This happened on Spring Day at The Milk Restaurant and Bar, a lifestyle and entertainment boutique located at the heart of Khayelitsha.
The Cape Town bar confirmed the bill on Sunday but did not want to provide more information.Â
This is what was bought:
- 10 bottles of Dom Perignon Luminous worth R60 000
- 6 Ace Brut bottles up to R54 000
- 10 bottles of Dom Perignon champagne
- 7 Moet Nectar champagne up to R11 200
- 6 Vueve Rich champagne R7 600
- 25 bottles of Hennessy vsop cognac
Here is the bill that was shared on social media:

While this could be seen as a generous tip, it does not come near the R94 486 tip that was given to a waiter late last year at a Mossel Bay restaurant.
GENEROUS TIPS HAVE MADE HEADLINES IN THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS
The American actress and filmmaker Marcia Kimpton left the massive tip after she and a group of 15 dined at Delfino’s Restaurant in Mossel Bay on Thursday.
The waiter, Zathan McCarthy, told the Mossel Bay Advertiser that he would be sharing his tip with his colleagues.
Kimpton was in South Africa to film scenes for a new TV mini-series, An American Abroad.

Earlier this year a lifestyle restaurant/bar in Pretoria probably had its most profitable night on Saturday, 8 January 2022, when a patron forked out more than R1.3 million on expensive alcohol.
EARLIER THIS YEAR A MAN SPENT R1,3 MILLION AT PTA BAR
Someone managed to get a snap of the ridiculous bill and shared it on Facebook and fellow users of the app can’t imagine how that much money is spent in just several hours.
The receipt shows that exactly R1 374 945 was spent on mostly booze at 012 Lifestyle Brooklyn, which is in Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria. According to the Facebook user who shared the picture of the receipt, the patron was at the club for less than six hours – whoever paid that bill must have money to burn. The slip also shows that the lucky waiter who served the patron and his guests, got a R124 000 tip.
