EXTREME heatwave conditions are expected TODAY in these parts of South Africa.
EXTREME HEATWAVE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN FIVE PROVINCES
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said the parts of the following provinces would be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday:
- Northern Cape
- Western Cape
- Eastern Cape
- KwaZulu-Natal
- Free State
It warned that prolonged exposure to midday sun poses health risks such as dehydration and heatstroke.

‘HYDRATE FREQUENTLY, AVOID BEING IN THE SUN FOR PROLONGED PERIODS’
The SAWS advised the public to hydrate frequently, wear cool clothing, avoid being in the sun for prolonged periods, and avoid strenuous outside work.
