FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
1.Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and eastern parts of North-West, in places over the central Free State and Gamagara Local Municipality of the Northern Cape Province
ADVISORIES:
1.A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected to continue over Gauteng, in places on the Highveld of Mpumalanga, the south-western Bushveld of Limpopo, the central and eastern parts of the North West and the northern parts of the Free State until Friday (07 October 2022).

Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon with isolated thundershowers in the south.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the southern Highveld. It will become cloudy along the escarpment areas towards the evening with drizzle patches
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, becoming cloudy in the extreme south-east with overnight drizzle on the escarpment.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine in the extreme west, otherwise partly cloudy and hot.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine in west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thundershowers in the extreme east.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the west, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in the north.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with fog patches in places along the west-coast in the morning, becoming fine by the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly in the south in the morning, otherwise fresh to strong easterly to south-easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half –Cloudy at first with light rain along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly east of Cape St Francis early morning, otherwise light to moderate south-westerly, becoming south-easterly in the afternoon
The Eastern half -Partly cloudy in the extreme north, otherwise cloudy and cool with light rain in places along the coast and adjacent interior
The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly, becoming moderate to fresh southerly late morning, but light to moderate easterly in the afternoon.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly, becoming light north-easterly in the extreme south tomorrow night.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate
