Air Seychelles, the national carrier of the Seychelles, will be adding more flights between Johannesburg and the island nation this March.
More flights for Easter from Air Seychelles
As the busy Easter period nears, Air Seychelles has announced that it will be adding moe flights on its Johannesburg route. As of today, 6 March, the airline will offer a third weekly flight from Johannesburg to the Seychelles.
The new weekly flight will depart Johannesburg on Fridays at 15:50 and arrive in the Seychelles at 20:45, the same time as the current flights which operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, reports Travel News.

Return flights from the Seychelles will all go out at 09:25, arriving in Johannesburg at 14:30 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Air Seychelles also said that from 2 May, the Saturday flight will change to a Sunday one instead, to allow for the winter season.
Johannesburg gets MORE trips to paradise
In other flight news, local airline, FlySafair has now made it even easier for SA travellers to make their way to the paradise that is Zanzibar, with direct flights from Johannesburg.

The airline recently announced that it now has rights to fly THREE scheduled flights per week, direct between Johannesburg and Zanzibar.
Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer of FlySafair, told Travel News that this new service should be up and running soon.
“Translating this existing chartered operation into a scheduled operation should be a fairly quick process, allowing us to release schedules as early as Q2,” Gordon said.

Mauritius, another island destination that’s a firm favourite amongst South Africans, will also see more FlySafair services, as the airline was awarded FIVE additional frequencies on its Mauritius route.
