The weather services have warned that severe thunderstorms and cold weather are expected in several parts of South Africa on Monday.
WEATHER WARNINGS FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE ISSUED
VoxWeather said level 2 weather warnings for severe thunderstorms are issued for severe thunderstorms over the central parts of Limpopo and the northern parts of Mpumalanga.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) previously warned that localised damage to infrastructure, settlements, property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock could be expected due to severe thunderstorms.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND COLD WEATHER EXPECTED ON MONDAY
“Further, heavy downpours are expected to result in localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges and possibly cause minor vehicle accidents. Disruptions to municipal services and livelihoods are also possible. Excessive lightning may cause danger to life.”

It furthermore issued a weather advisory for very cold conditions that could cause hypothermia or isolated loss of vulnerable livestock.
VERY COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE ALSO EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS:
