There’s lots of fun to be had at KwaZulu-Natal’s Wild Coast Sun this festive period, as the resort opens up SA’s very first indoor skypark.
An Indoor Skypark for South Africa
The Magic Company has brought a brand new offering to KwaZulu-Natal’s Wild Coast Sun resort – South Africa’s first ever indoor skypark.
The popular four-star resort recently built the indoor skypark, now open just in time for the festive season, reports Tourism Update. The structure is 18-metres high, has 21 rope obstacles on a sky trail and a built-in zip-line sky rail.
The Magic Company, which operates the resort’s bowling alley, arcade games and kiddie rides, has invested a whopping R6.4m in the skypark, and also boosted employment in the area by hiring eight permanent and four casual staff for its operations.
Kim Sismey, Magic Company regional manager, said that the newly opened offering has world class safety features that will prevent visitors unhooking themselves during participation.
“Up to 30 people can use the structure at a time. In addition, the company has added 45 additional games in the area under the sky park,” Sismey claimed.

Peter Tshidi, General Manager at Wild Coast Sun, said that the resort was seeing a better demand than 2019’s same peak period.
“We are always looking at new and exciting ways to thrill our guests, and this means refreshing dining options as well as making sure we provide great entertainment, both indoors and outdoors.” Tshidi said.
“Wild Coast Sun was already fully booked by October for the festive season, with a maximum capacity from December 16 to mid-January 2023, showing that you need to book early if you don’t want to miss out,” Tshidi added.
