IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
1.An Orange level 6 warning for disruptive rain leading to flooding of settlements, roads and bridges as well as disruption to livelihoods is expected along the wildcoast and adjacent interior in the Eastern Cape.
2. A Yellow level 4 warning for disruptive rain leading to flooding of settlements, roads and bridges as well as disruption to livelihoods is expected over the southeastern parts of the Eastern Cape and along the south coast in KwaZulu-Natal spreading towards Richard’s Bay in the evening.

Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool, with scattered showers and thundershowers in the south at first spreading towards the north by the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm but cold in the high ground. Scattered to widespread afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm but cold along the southern escarpment. Isolated to scattered evening showers and thundershowers excluding the Limpopo Valley.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers excluding the east.
Free State:
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the southeast.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and cool to cold over the west and south-western parts, otherwise cloudy, windy and cold with isolated showers along the south coast and eastern interior clearing from the evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Cool along the coast, otherwise cloudy and cold with scattered showers and rain, but widespread in the south-east, moderating in the south by the evening.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly, but light to moderate west of Cape St. Francis.
The Eastern half -Cool along the coast, otherwise cloudy and cold with widespread showers and rain, but scattered in the northwest. Thundershowers can be expected in the north and east.
The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly, becoming fresh southeasterly in the afternoon.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Cloudy and cold, but cool in the east. Widespread showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the extreme north.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle northerly to north-westerly north of Richard’s Bay, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.
