Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, western parts of the North West province, the Mohokare Local Municipality of the Free State, as well as the Walter Sisulu, Inxuba Yethemba and Enoch Mgijima local municipalities of the Eastern Cape.

Gauteng
Temperature: Fine and warm.

Mpumalanga
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.
Limpopo
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm to hot.
North West
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
Free State
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
Northern Cape
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog along the coast, otherwise fine, windy and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east, with isolated afternoon thundershowers expected in the north. It will be extremely hot in the extreme north-west, but cool over the extreme north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape
Temperature: Cloudy and cool over the coastal areas in the morning with morning fog patches along the west coast, otherwise fine and warm, but hot over the north-eastern interior. It will remain partly cloudy along the south coast for the day.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly along the south coast, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, but strong at times along the south-west coast in the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Eastern Cape
The Western half: Fine in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cloudy along the coast in the evening.
The Western half – The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly, becoming easterly in the evening.
The Eastern half: Fine and hot.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north -easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly in the afternoon, but moderate south-easterly south of East London in the late evening.
KwaZulu-Natal
Temperature: Morning fog over the northern interior, otherwise fine and warm.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north -easterly, becoming south-westerly in the evening.
