Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Northern Cape, western and northern parts of North-West, Western Bushveld of Limpopo, Amajuba Local Municipality of KwaZulu-Natal as well as Joe Gqabi District Municipality and Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality of Eastern Cape.
ADVISORIES:
Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures are expected over the eastern parts of both the North-West and Free State, southern parts of Gauteng as well as OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo District Municipality of the Eastern Cape from 04-06/10/2023. Under this condition, a prolong exposure to the midday sun poses health risks, hence its advisable to seek shades and keep hydrated.

Temperature: Fine and hot. but warm over the central parts.

Mpumalanga
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot in the Lowveld.
Limpopo
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
North West
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
Free State
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but partly cloudy over the western parts.
Northern Cape
Temperature: Fine, windy and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers over the south-eastern parts but warm along the coast and its interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.
Western Cape
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the west-coast otherwise partly cloudy.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Eastern Cape
The Western half: Cloudy with fog patches over interior at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over interior.
The Western half – The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south easterly, becoming north easterly by evening.
The Eastern half: Cloudy with fog patches in places south of escapement at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over interior, spreading towards East London in the evening.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly.
KwaZulu-Natal
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places over the interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate northerly to north-westerly north of Richard’s Bay in the morning, otherwise south-westerly. It will become moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon.
