Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms in the south.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the Highveld and escarpment in the afternoon.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine, becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot but vert hot in places in the north.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thundershowers, except in the east.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy in the west at first with morning fog patches, otherwise fine becoming and partly cloudy and cool but warm to hot in the east. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with isolated showers in the south-western interior, as well as the south-coast and its adjacent interior, clearing in the west by the afternoon, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm. Scattered showers are expected along the extreme eastern parts of the south-coast.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southwesterly in the south, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Warm in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the north-west.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northwesterly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly from the late morning, but easterly east of Cannon Rocks.
The Eastern half – Partly cloudy to cloudy and cool with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the north-west.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly, becoming easterly from the late morning.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, but cool in the south-west. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the north-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-westerly.
