Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
A. Yellow Level 2 Warning for Waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
B. Yellow Level 3 Warning for Rain resulting in flooding of roads, formal and informal settlements is expected over Langeberg Municipality, Overberg and Garden Route Districts.
C. Yellow Level 4 Warning for Rain resulting to localised flooding of susceptible settlements, roads, low lying areas and bridges is expected over Kouga and Koukamma Local Municipalities.
D. Yellow Level 2 Warning for Winds resulting in localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes is expected over the southern parts of Namakwa District.

Cold, windy and wet weather is expected over the western interior, persisting into Tuesday. Heavy rain could result in localised flooding in places along the coast and adjacent interior with very rough seas expected along the South Coast on Saturday into Sunday.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool but warm in the north.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool to warm.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool to warm.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.
Free State:
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the extreme south and extreme north-east, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy over the west in the afternoon, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme south.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches in the south-west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but cold in the south where isolated showers and thundershowers are expected. It will be windy in places in the southern parts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly reaching strong towards the evening.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and cold with scattered to widespread showers, except in the north-west but isolated over the north-eastern interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Cloudy and cold with isolated to scattered showers and rain but widespread in the south as well as along the coast.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly, moderating in the afternoon.
The Eastern half -Partly cloudy becoming cloudy and cool to cold with isolated to scattered showers and rain but widespread along the coast.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming southerly in the afternoon.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north-east, becoming cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south of Richards Bay as well as in the south-west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming strong in places between Port Edward and Richards Bay from late afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
