FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in the Beaufort West and Laingsburg Local Municipalities in the Western Cape, John Taolo Gaetsewe and ZF Mgcawu District Municipalies, Siyathemba and Kareeberg Local Municipalities in the Northern Cape, as well as Mahikeng, Ratlou, Naledi and Greater Taung Local Municipalities in the North-West.

Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Hot in the Lowveld, otherwise fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers along the escarpment and eastern Highveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the central and south-western parts.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with mist in the western interior at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot to very hot in the east. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the south-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh north-westerly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool but warm in places over the interior. Light rain can be expected over the extreme south-western parts from late evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh easterly along the south coast but fresh to strong northerly to north-westerly along the west and south-west coast.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Cloudy over the interior in the morning and evening, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north-east.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh easterly, reaching strong from the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Cloudy with morning fog and drizzle in places south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thunderstorms, but scattered in the south.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly from the late morning.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers in the west, otherwise isolated, except in the east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly north of Durban, otherwise gentle to moderate southerly to south-westerly, becoming easterly to south-easterly in the afternoon.
