PRETORIA BAR BILL SHOCKED SOUTH AFRICANS
The 012 Lifestyle bar in Brooklyn, Pretoria played host to a wild get-together here: Dozens of revellers packed into the venue, after being invited by a flamboyant Zimbabwean ‘prophet’ who goes by the name of Passion Java. So far, so ridiculous…
Things got out of hand in the most wasteful way imaginable. Exactly 100 bottles of the Ace of Spades champagne were ordered. Going for R10 000 a pop, this pushed the bill up to a cool million. And we’re only just getting started…
A further 50 bottles of Veuve, and an additional 20 bottles of Dom Perignon were also added to the tab. Whiskey, platters, and a generous helping of Coke cans took the final bar bill to R1.3 million. Truly, Mr. Java was the real blesser on Saturday night.
