Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
A. Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with possible damaging winds, heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of low-lying bridges, settlements and roads as well as damage to infrastructure expected over the central and southern parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga as well as central and western parts of the Eastern Cape.
B. A yellow level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in flooding and large amounts of small hail are expected over the southern interior of Namakwa in the Northern Cape and Western Cape until Saturday.
C. An orange level 6 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in flooding and large amounts of small hail are expected over the western and central parts of the Western Cape on Friday, but over the central and southern parts until Saturday.

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with widespread showers and thundershowers.

Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm, but hot in places in the Lowveld with widespread showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the central and southern parts.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the east.
Free State:
Temperature: Cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the east.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy in the east, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.
Wind: Cloudy with fog patches along the coast in the morning where it will be cool with light and variable wind becoming moderate south-westerly from the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly along the west coast, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy with widespread showers and thundershowers.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.
The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy with widespread showers and thundershowers.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly in the south at first, otherwise moderate north-easterly.
