IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
A. A Yellow level 2 warning for Severe Thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail as well as heavy rain, leading to localized flooding, disruption to communication services and isolated damages to property are expected over the eastern parts of the Free State and south-eastern parts of the North West. Such storms are also expected over the extreme southern parts of Gauteng, northern and north- western parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the southern Highveld of Mpumalanga.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers in the early morning and again from the afternoon. It will be warm in the north.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the northern Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered to in the south-east.
Free State:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered to isolated showers and thundershowers except the extreme south-western parts.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy along the coast and the south-western interior in the morning with fog patches, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in the north.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northwesterly, becoming moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly from the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers over the central and the eastern parts until the afternoon. Morning fog is expected along the west coast.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly in the north-west in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High
Eastern Cape:
The Western half –Partly cloudy to cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the southern interior.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, becoming southerly from midday but light and variable in the evening.
The Eastern half -Fine in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the south-eastern interior.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly, becoming south-westerly from late morning
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered shower and thundershowers.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly north of Mandeni at first, otherwise southwesterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
