The most languages used in a reading relay is 55 and was achieved by Museum of Islamic Art (Qatar), in Doha, Qatar, on 12 October 2022.
The book used was “Le Petit Prince” by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry, which has been translated in many languages. The participants lined up and took turns to read their allocated passage in their specific language. They had to read a minimum of one line but most read at least one page with the transition between orators being seamless. All the languages read were independently verified by specialist witness in the passages being narrated.
