The most heat-tolerant multicellular animals are the tardigrades or water bears, a group of tiny, near-indestructible animals that are able to survive temperatures exceeding 150°C (302°F) and halt their metabolism for survival.
These 1 mm long invertebrates have survived in outer space and some even survived the sun’s radiation.
