Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Central Karoo of the Western Cape.
ADVISORIES:
Heatwave with persistently hot temperatures is expected in places of Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal until Tuesday.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east, otherwise fine and warm to hot.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers over the central and the western parts. Possible windy conditions are expected over the western parts.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot but very hot over the central parts with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, fresh at times in the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and warm but cool over the west and south-western parts with isolated to scattered rain and showers in the morning, spreading to the south coast and adjacent interior by late afternoon whilst clearing from the west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly but strong in the south and south-west becoming fresh to strong south-westerly in the afternoon

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Cloudy and cool along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the east.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be Fresh to strong south westerly.
The Eastern half -Warm in places, otherwise partly cloudy and hot, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers from late morning.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south westerly from the south mid-morning.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, but extremely hot in places in the east, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers and thundershowers over the extreme south-western parts, otherwise isolated except in the north.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the south by late afternoon, spreading northwards.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
