Tsogo Sun Hotels recently launched the newly rebranded Garden Court Victoria Junction in Green Point, Cape Town.
After a three month break, during which time the ownership of the iconic Green Point hotel changed hands, the property was newly branded and relaunched on 15 February.
According to Travel News, in November last year the hotel, which was previously called the Protea Hotel by Marriott Victoria Junction, closed and handed the building back to HPF Properties, which is owned by Tsogo Sun. The industrial-styled hotel has since been reopened under the Tsogo brand and consists of 172 luxurious rooms, including split-level superior lofts, a meeting space for up to 120 people, and the contemporary Connexxion restaurant. Tsogo Sun Hotels CEO, Marcel von Aulock said:
“We are excited to bring over 50 years of expertise in the hospitality industry to this vibrant part of Cape Town, and particularly to add our great value Garden Court brand to its presence, which we believe will enhance the property’s unique personality.”
The hotel is prodigiously located next to the V&A Waterfront, the Cape Town CBD and the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The hotel also has an opening special for the month of February, where it will cost you R950 for a night’s stay including breakfast.
