Severe weather alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS
A. Yellow Level 4 Warning for waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea between Lambert’s Bay and Plettenberg Bay from Sunday spreading to Alexander Bay on Monday.
B. Yellow Level 1 Warning for damaging winds resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
C. Yellow Level 1 Warning for damaging winds resulting in difficult driving conditions over most parts of the Eastern Cape, the northern, central and south-western interior of the Western Cape as well as the southern and central parts of the Northern Cape.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over the central and southern parts of the country as well as the KwaZulu-Natal midlands.
ADVISORIES:
Very cold, windy and wet conditions are expected over Namakwa and southern parts of Northern Cape the interior of Western Cape as well as the western parts of the Eastern Cape from Sunday.

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.

Mpumalanga
Temperature: Fine and warm, but very hot in the Lowveld.
Limpopo
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
North West
Temperature: Fine and hot.
Free State
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
Northern Cape
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in the south-west. It will be fine and warm to hot in the east but windy in the south-east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly in the morning becoming fresh to strong from the afternoon.
Western Cape
Temperature: Cloudy and cold to with isolated showers and rain except in the north-east, but scattered to widespread in the south-west. Snowfalls are expected on the mountain peaks.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong north-westerly to westerly reaching near-gale to gale force between Lamberts Bay and Cape Agulhas spreading to Plettenberg Bay during the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
Eastern Cape
The Western half: Partly cloudy, windy and warm, but cool along the coast.
The Western half – The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh south-westerly.
The Eastern half: Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot, with evening fog patches and drizzle along the coast and adjacent interior.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly turning south-easterly in the afternoon.
KwaZulu-Natal
Temperature: Fine and hot but very hot in places.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the south by late morning.
