Due to unseasonal heavy rains in the Kruger National Park, several key roads and bridges are currently under flood.

In a post by the South African National Parks Facebook page on Tuesday, it was confirmed that the Sand river Bridge is currently closed due to water overflowing.

Visitors to the park looking to travel from Skukuza to Tshokwane are advised to use the H4-1 then turn onto the H12.

Later on Tuesday, the same Facebook page posted an image of the bridge under water.
