Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Here are some really cool events happening in Durban from 11 to 13 August 2023.
What: Get your exercise in at a fun-filled 11km nature reserve hike at Giba Gorge. You will get a chance to see three fantastic waterfalls along the hike. Tickets cost R120 per person and includes private guiding, lots of excitement and adventure as well as awesome pictures and videos. Hiking sticks are highly recommended. Book your tickets here.

What: Ever wanted to explore rock pools at night? Shaka’s Rock Tidal Pool Night Walk will let you see an abundance of marine life that come out at night. You will get to see Octopus, Sea slugs/hares, Nudibranch, Devil firefish, a variety of colourful fish, Sea urchins, Starfish, Anemone and many more. Tickets cost R150 per person and can be booked here.

What: Take in some history this weekend at a guided tour of photo exhibition ‘Seeing Auschwitz’. The exhibition presents more than 100 images of victims and perpetrators, as well as snapshots of the systematic extermination process and scenes of everyday life in Auschwitz
“Seeing Auschwitz uses analysis of the scarce photographic evidence of the camp that has survived to the present day as well as the process of the construction of the collective memory of Auschwitz and other contemporary genocides”. Entry is free to all.
