One of the most popular and rewarding ways to see Table Mountain is by hiking to its summit. There are multiple hiking trails of varying difficulty that lead to the top.

Hiking allows you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the mountain and offers stunning panoramic views over Cape Town, the surrounding coastline and the Atlantic Ocean.

Table Mountain Cableway

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is a convenient and breathtaking way to experience the iconic mountain. The cable car rotates 360 degrees during the ascent, providing you with uninterrupted views of the mountain, the city and the ocean.

It’s a quick and easy way to reach the summit without the physical exertion of hiking. Keep in mind that the cableway operates weather permitting, so always check the conditions before you go.

Take a scenic drive

If you prefer a more relaxed approach, you can take a scenic drive to various viewpoints around Table Mountain itself. Signal Hill and the area around Kloof Nek Road offer great vantage points from which you can admire the mountain and take in the cityscape.

You can also drive to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, where you’ll have a picturesque view of the mountain and its lush surroundings.
