Great new for all travellers wanting to visit to Switzerland: the country has dropped almost all COVID-19 restrictions.
As of midnight, 17 February, the government of Switzerland has officially lifted almost all COVID-19 restrictions, signifying their confidence that their COVID-19 infection rates had significantly dropped.
Travel News reports that entry restrictions to the country have also been eased. It will no longer be necessary for travellers to provide proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test or to complete an entry form.

The only requirement still in place is the need for face masks on public transport and in health-care facilities, which will remain in place until 31 March.
Ignazio Cassis, Switzerland’s president said at a press conference:
“The virus is there. We are learning how to live with the virus.”
With over 70 percent of it’s citizens vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine, Switzerland joins the growing list of European country to scrap nearly all COVID-related restrictions. Others include Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway as well as Sweden.
