Established as a town in 1873, the name Parys is the Afrikaans translation for, you guessed it, France’s very own Paris. And just as food is a huge draw-card in Paris, the restaurant scene in Parys is just as attractive. Here are three that you should check out on during your next visit!

The Garden Boutique Eatery

Why you should eat here: The Garden Boutique Eatery in Parys is a must visit for a meal. The restaurant offers artisanal creations that are made with quality ingredients, excellent baked cakes for the sweet-toothed as well as various canapes if you’re just stopping by for a drink. Seating is charmingly alfresco with an atmosphere that is relaxed and open. They are open seven days a week, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Hoi Polloi Bistro

Why you should eat here: A popular joint in Parys, Hoi Polloi Bistro is well-known for it’s eclectic and quirky antiques and decor. They offer delectable, contemporary cuisine, exquisitely plated, as well as an extensive wine list and selection of craft beers. The restaurant is open all week long, bookings are essential.

O’s Restaurant Parys

Why you should eat here: Considered one of Parys’ best kept secrets, O’s Restaurant is situated on the banks of the Vaal River and offers delicious cuisine from an a la carte-style menu. The restaurant also boasts a cocktail deck bar on the river, exclusively for over 21s, with epic views. O’s offers a fine dining experience in a relaxed and welcoming way. They operate from Wednesday to Saturday from 8:30 to 21:00, and on Sundays from 9:30 to 15:00.
