EXTREME heatwave conditions are expected TODAY in these parts of South Africa.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said the parts of the following provinces would be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday:
It warned that prolonged exposure to midday sun poses health risks such as dehydration and heatstroke.
These areas will be affected by the HOT conditions:
“People and animals may experience Heat stroke or heat exhaustion with prolonged heat exposure and/or physical activities.”

The SAWS advised the public to hydrate frequently, wear cool clothing, avoid being in the sun for prolonged periods, and avoid strenuous outside work.
