Hailstorm and heavy rainfall have been reported in parts of Johannesburg, Gauteng on Monday, 5 December.
Residents in Randburg, Northcliff and other areas took to social media to share videos and images following the inclement weather conditions.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) had issued a high-level 5 warning for thunderstorms, hail and excessive lightning for Monday for several parts of the country.
A level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms is also in place for parts of the country including KwaZulu-Natal.
Others have described the hailstorm as one from hell as it destroyed trees amongst other things.
