This beautiful beach was voted 9th best in the world…

Recently, the Mother City has been accumulating quite a few awards and recognitions, and now it can add having the 9th best beach in the world to their collection! Big 7 Travel, a global travel site, recently released their annual “50 Best Beaches in the World” rankings using aggregated stores from previous media results, official Blue Flag beach locations and contributions from their editorial team.

The results placed Cape Town’s picturesque Boulders Beach in the 9th spot, an acheivement the Mother City can be proud of! Boulders is, of course, known for its undeniably endearing tuxedo-clad residents – the famous African Penguin, a reason for which tons of tourists flock to the area year-long. With calm, turquoise waters and a soft, sandy beach, it’s no wonder why this particuar spot made the list.

Beachgoers have the unique opportunity to swim and relax alongside the adorable penguins – now where else can one do that!
