Cape Town’s largest shopping centre, Canal Walk will be hosting the much-loved story of Peter Pan on stage this month.
Cape Town Fans of the magical story of Peter Pan will be in for a treat this June and July, as Canal Walk is set to host a stage production of the fantastical tale.
According to the shopping centre, this 2022 magical and musical adaption of JM Barrie’s classic, Peter, Tinkerbell, and Wendy Darling, along with the incorrigible Captain Hook and his faithful side kick, Smee, will whisk audiences away to magical Neverland.
The production, featuring original music, will be directed by the award-winning duo, Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer, who have previously directed works on European and American stages.
The shopping centre will also be donating a percentage of each ticket sold to the Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation in support of the families of children with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders.
The show will run from 25 June to 17 July 2022, Tuesday to Sundays at 11:00, 12.30 and 14:00 (closed on Mondays) at the Canal Walk Theatre, Centre Court. Tickets cost R100 per person or R95 per person in a family package of 4+ tickets. Book your tickets on Webtickets.
