Imagine an enchanting, child-friendly space nestled between olive groves and vineyards looking out on the iconic Simonsberg. Here you’ll find the Tokara Delicatessen.  A beautiful family destination with spectacular views and an inspiring sculpture garden with South African art installations.

Situated on the Tokara wine and olive estate on the crest of the Helshoogte Pass outside Stellenbosch, the Deli, as it is fondly known by regulars, is the perfect spot to unwind and relax.

Tokara delicatessen food at the Deli is all about farm-fresh ingredients

The food at the Deli is all about farm fresh ingredients, that are picked daily, combined with contemporary cooking techniques and different flavour combinations to make for family favourites with a twist.

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast, delicious summer salads or one of the popular Deli pizzas.  For lunchtime visitors, there are various options like Line Fish with a warm Mediterranean cous cous salad, perfectly cooked Beef Ribeye or Pork Belly served with baba ganoush.

There is also ample opportunity to shop for fresh produce and artisanal products, as well as beautiful décor items to take home.  To ensure your shopping experience is undisturbed, our exciting outdoor play area will easily entice your little ones. From extravagant jungle gyms to ample running space and the occasional boastful peacock, there’s plenty to entertain your child.

Everything at the estate is designed to enhance the natural splendour of the surrounding landscape, not detract from it.  As you walk through the lovingly tended gardens and olive orchards connecting the Tokara Delicatessen and the Winery, you’ll find a carefully curated collection of sculptures and art pieces dappled between the plantings of Cape Fynbos.

The deli is open daily for breakfast and lunch from 10h00 till 17h00 during the summer period.  For reservations, please contact 021 8085950 or book online at www.tokara.com
