Due to their massive size and strength, a Cape Buffalo would take out a lion almost every single time in a one-on-one. However, a pride of lions can overpower a single Cape buffalo by utilising the group’s strength.
These three lionesses managed to overpower the buffalo but got distracted by some hyenas that came to investigate the noise. In the midst of all of this, the buffalo managed to escape.
