IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over Kai !Garib local municipality , northern parts of Northern Cape,as well as over Kagisano-Molopo local municipality of North West.

ADVISORIES:

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu-Natal until Tuesday.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and hot.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated evening showers and thundershowers in the Limpopo Valley and Lowveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the extreme east at first, becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot. Isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers are expected, except in the extreme east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly fresh at times in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy along the coastal areas and eastern parts with isolated showers and thunbdershowers, otherwise fine and warm but hot to very hot over the central and eastern interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly along the south coast in the morning, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly becoming moderate westerly to south-westerly in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy with morning fog and drizzle in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and very hot but warm along the coast with isolated shwoers and thundershowers.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, but fresh to strong from the afternoon, becoming south westerly from the west in the evening.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the interior.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable by early morning, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, reaching fresh to strong from the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the north-east where it will be fine.Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the extreme south

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northeasterly

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
