FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the eastern parts of Namakwa in the Northern Cape,central and little Karoo Districts in the Western Cape.

ADVISORIES:

Extremely uncomfortable humid conditions are expected over the Khai-Ma municipality in the Northern Cape, Central and Little Karoo districts in the Western Cape.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm in the morning becoming partly cloudy.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with drizzle and morning fog patches, othrwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches and drizzle along the escarpment otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west

Free State:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west and south.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the north-coast where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot,to extremely hot in the central northern parts. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the eastern and northern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly becoming light to moderate south-westerly by the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot in places over the interior and eastern parts. It will become cloudy to partly cloudy along the south coast from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to north-easterly south of Betty’s Bay by early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly but strong south of Hermanus by the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the evening.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh northeasterly, becoming southwesterly in the evening.

The Eastern half -Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be Fresh to strong northeasterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog patches and drizzle in places over the western interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy becoming fine in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate south-easterly in the extreme north at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming strong in places south of Richards Bay in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
