Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northern part of the Northern Cape.

ADVISORIES:

Heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over KwaZulu-Natal until Thursday

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers on the Highveld. It will be very hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme south-west. It will be very hot in the southern Lowveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly becoming moderate southerly in the afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy along the coastal areas and adjacent interior with morning, fog patches in the west and light rain along the south coast until early afternoon where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. It will be hot over the north-eastern interior where afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly to southerly

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Partly cloudy with light showers and thundershowers in the north at first, otherwise fine and hot to very hot, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme east.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy at first, otherwise fine and hot, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers with possible heavy downpours along escarpment.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot in places in the north-east. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers and thundershowers in the west, otherwise isolated except in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly but south-westerly in the south, spreading to Richards Bay in the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
