1.Extreme high fire danger conditions expected over places in the Northern Cape, North West province, as well as the Free State province.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and hot.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Very hot over the Lowveld, otherwise fine and warm to hot.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy over the central parts from the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches in the east at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog in the extreme north-west where it will be cool, otherwise fine and hot to very hot.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable until the afternoon where it will become moderate south-westerly

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with light showers and rain along the west coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly, but strong along the south-west coast, becoming moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly in the afternoon, but strong along the south coast at times.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half –Partly cloudy and cool to warm with showers and rain along the coast in the evening.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and cool to warm with showers and rain along the coast in the eveniong.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot in the north. It will become partly cloudy from the south in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the south by late morning, spreading to the north by evening
