Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, western parts of the North West and Central Karoo of the Western Cape.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over the south-western parts.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine, windy and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, except over the southern eastern parts. It will be cool along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in the north west with morning mist over the central interior.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the south in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly becoming south-westerly from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Fine and hot but warm along the coast, becoming partly cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior from late afternoon.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south easterly becoming moderate south westerly in the afternoon..

The Eastern half -Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy in places from the evening.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate north easterly

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm becoming fine in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate easterly to north-easterly, becoming fresh towards afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
