IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

Yellow Level 2 Warning for Disruptive Rain leading to localised flooding of susceptible settlements, roads, low lying areas and bridges is expected along the south coastal areas of KwaZulu-Natal, ending tomorrow afternoon.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

NIL

ADVISORIES:

Very cold conditions with light snow are expected over the north-eastern mountainous areas of the Eastern Cape in the morning.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be cold in the extreme south.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in places in the east and over the southern Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool with scattered showers and thundershowers. It will be warm in the eastern Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cool over the central parts, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the Limpopo Valley. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the central and southeastern parts from the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the east and central parts.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches, becoming partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers and thundershowers, except over the south-western parts.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm but cold in the south and in places in the west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in places in the south and north-east in the morning, otherwise fine and cold to cool. It will become partly cloudy along the south-west coast from evening.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly along the west and south-west coast in the morning, otherwise moderate westerly to north-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy with isolated showers and rain at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to north-westerly.

The Eastern half -Cloudy and cold with isolated rain and showers, becoming partly cloudy. Light snow is expected over the north-eastern mountainous areas in the early morning.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold, but very cold over south-western high-ground with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread along the south coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
