Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers excluding the Lowveld where it will be hot.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers over the south-central parts.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with scattered thundershowers, but isolated in the east.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east, but cloudy with morning mist along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy over the western parts, otherwise mostly cloudy and cool, clearing from the west from the afternoon. Light rain is expected over the extreme eastern parts in the morning.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south to south-westerly, becoming strong and westerly south of Cape Point from late afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly.

The Eastern half – Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers by afternoon.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be light north-easterly becoming south westerly in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north-east. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers and thundershowers in the south, otherwise isolated, except in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly, becoming fresh in places at times.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
