Yellow Level 1 Warning for Damaging Wind leading to difficulty in navigation at sea expected between Hout Bay and Cape Agulhas, until midday.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm..

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in places in the Lowveld. It will become partly cloudy along the escarpment in the evening.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places in the Lowveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Cold in places in the south-west where it will be cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, but fine in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly to southwesterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Mostly cloudy and warm, but cold to cool over the southwestern parts with rain at times.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, but strong north-westerly in the west and south-west, reaching near Gale to Gale between Hout Bay and Cape Agulhas during the morning.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places in the north where it will be fine. Light mornig rain and showers can be expected in places along the coast, west of Port Alfred.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.

The Eastern half – Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places in the north where it will be fine.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly, becoming north-westerly in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, but cool in the extreme south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
