Yellow level 1 warning for damaging waves resulting in localised disruptions to beachfront activities such as rock angling, is expected between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay on Saturday (29/04/2023).

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in places over the Highveld. It will be hot in the lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers over the southern parts and western bushveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with afternoon isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy with afternoon isolated showers and thundershowers

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog in the south and west, otherwise fine and cool to warm becoming but partly cloudy in the east with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog along the west coast otherwise partly cloudy and cool becoming fine over the interior by the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly but south-westerly along the south and west coast.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy at first with isolated showers in places east of Port Elizabeth, otherwise fine and warm, but cool along the coast where it will be partly cloudy.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The Eastern half – Cloudy at first with isolated showers in places along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine, and cool to warm but partly cloudy along coast.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west and rain and showers along the coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming north-easterly from the south in the afternoon spreading northwards.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
