WATCH: Crocodile steals cooler box after interrupting a picnic

A group of people were in for the surprise of their lives when a crocodile decided to walk out of the water and join them on their relaxing picnic.

Crocodile joins in on a picnic

A group of people, seemingly out on a safari, stopped for a relaxing picnic when a crocodile joined them.

It casually walked up to the group and rested it head on the coolerbox.

A man is heard saying “come on crockie, this is not playing cricket.”

The group took it in good spirit as they were heard laughing as they were phoning for help.

Eventually, one man can be heard saying, “my beers are in that cooler box man.”

The crocodile was not done though, it then proceeded to steal the cooler box and splash back into the water.

Facts about these often scary creatures

Crocodiles consist of 14 species, varying in size and lifespan between 35 to 75 years.

The Dwarf Crocodile, the smallest species, averages 1.5 meters in length and weighs 18 to 32 kg.

The Saltwater Crocodile is the largest species, capable of growing up to 7m in length and weighing 1,000 to 1,200 kg.

Some species of crocodiles are active during the day, while others are nocturnal.

These carnivorous animals are highly efficient hunters, with excellent hearing and eyesight, and they primarily hunt at night.

As aggressive ambush predators, crocodiles wait for their prey to approach their hiding position before attacking.

Their diet consists mainly of other animals, reptiles, birds, and fish.
