Party in Drakensberg: Splashy Fen is back!

South Africa are you ready? The Splashy Fen Music Festival is back to rock Drakensberg after a two-year hiatus.

South Africa’s longest-running music festival is back and will be held over the Easter weekend from Thursday, 14 April to Monday, 18 April 2022. With an epic line-up of local talents on offer, the festival promises to be one for the books!

After a two-year break due to COVID-19, Splash Fen will host five stages, specifically curated to provide festival attendees with a varied, holistic music experience.

Splashy Fen line-up

The lineup for Splashy Fen 2022 will be an exclusively and proudly South African lineup. According to the official Splash Fen website, the festival deems it vital that they, and music supporters of South Africa rally behind the local creative and arts industry, in support of those who have had no work for the last two years due to COVID-19.

According to IOL, these are just SOME of the legendary artists and DJ’s who will take to the stage from Thursday to Monday:

  • Mango Groove
  • Goodluck
  • Mi Casa
  • Desmond and the Tutus
  • Jeremy Loops
  • Martin Gill
  • Neon Dreams
  • the Jägermeister Brass Cartel
  • The Kickstands
  • Hayden Rattray
  • Nipho Hurd
  • Jason Gladwin
  • Faraway George
  • Zen Garden

Splashy Fen Festival director, Stu Berry, stated:

“It has been absolutely devastating to have missed out on two years of hosting Splashy Fen Music Festival”

“Not just for our fans, but for the musicians and artists who have had to struggle without work for so long. This is why this is a particularly special event for us, as we work together to reignite the live music scene and to prioritise our local artists in the process. To say we are excited for the Easter long weekend is an understatement.” he added.

Tickets are still available on the Splashy Fen website. Hurry!
