The SA Weather Service (SAWS) said the weather conditions are expected on Friday afternoon.
It warned that localised flooding of settlements, low-lying roads, and bridges is possible, as well as localised damage to infrastructure.
“Severe lightning can possibly result in localised fire incidents and injuries to humans and livestock. Difficult driving conditions could lead to minor vehicle accidents and localised damage is possible due to hail.”
SAWS
These areas will be affected:
“Take caution or avoid traveling on bridges and roads in low-lying areas as these may be susceptible to flooding and there may be sinkholes.
“Avoid outdoor activities, as lightning and flooding may result in injuries and death. Avoid being in an open field, as there may be flying debris. Stay indoors well clear of windows, shelter pets, and cover vehicles.”
