IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

Yellow level 2 Severe thunderstorms with possible heavy downpours, strong winds and hail is expected over Gauteng except the extreme north-western parts, extreme southern parts of Limpopo, central and western interior of Kwa-Zulu-Natal as well as the Highveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Khai-Ma municipality (N.Cape).

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with drizzle and morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the northern Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with drizzle and morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the central and eastern parts.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the south-western where it be partly cloudy.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated thundershowers in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly becoming strong north of Hondeklip Bay from late afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with morning fog along the west coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly north of Betty’s Bay, otherwise light to moderate southerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Cloudy in places along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers extreme east.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south westerly.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly in the north at first, otherwise moderate to freshsouth-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
